A. Physically check the position of all the switches on the control panel. Move them back and forth until you are certain that they are correct as per the QuickStart Guide.
B. Turn the unit on.The red indicator light should come on steady – if it is blinking, the battery is low.If the battery is very low, it will also give a ‘beeping’ sound.
C. Press the ‘Treatment’ button once to reset the unit.
D. Hold the unit to your ear and listen; it can be either silent or making a very slow clicking sound (it can even pick up stray frequencies from electrical equipment).
E. Press the ‘Treatment’ button; the unit should make a rapid clicking sound.
F. Hold the unit with your fingers on the black contact pad and then, with the finger tip of the other hand, touch the treatment point on the end/tip of the unit.There should be a squealing sound and the light may go off.
G. Connect the remote probe (using a slight twisting motion to ensure that the probe makes a good connection) and then touch the black contact pad with the probe.The light should go out and a very high-pitched squeal will be heard.If not, check the probe connection to the unit.If you obtained a squealing sound in step F but not G, the probe needs to be replaced.If there was no squeal in either steps F or G, the unit needs to be replaced.
H. Hold the unit correctly and locate the Li20 point (please refer to your Quick Start Guide).When a high-pitched squeal is heard, press the ‘Treatment’ button.A sharp stinging sensation should be felt.If not, continue to hold the unit, correctly, touch the probe to the tip of the tongue and press the ‘Treatment’ button.A slight tingle should be felt.If not, the unit needs to be replaced.
